Canon arrives this year with its new model, the Canon PowerShot A30 which is a great camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was announced in North America on the 22/2/02. This nice camera measures 110 x 71 x 38 mm while it weights only 350 g. The PowerShot A30 offers a maximum resolution of 1280 x 960. It also supports a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Canon PowerShot A30 has been set at 4:3, making a camera of 1.2 mega pixels. The sensor on the PowerShot A30 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.7 " having a RGB color filter.
Canon included a digital zoom on the PowerShot A30 with an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range is 76 cm. The min. shutter speed of the PowerShot A30 is 15 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1500 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera which is always a useful function.
