Canon unveils its new camera, the Canon PowerShot A640 which is a very exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was unveiled in North America on the 24/8/06. The PowerShot A640 gets a maximum resolution of 3648 x 2736. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2816 x 2112, 2272 x 1704, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Canon PowerShot A640 is 4:3, 3:2, making a camera of 10.0 mega pixels. The sensor of the PowerShot A640 is a CCD which measures 1/1.8 " and uses a RGB color filter.
