Canon strikes back with its new conception, the Canon PowerShot A710 IS which is a great camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was unveiled in the US on the 24/8/06. The PowerShot A710 IS offers a maximum resolution of 3072 x 2304. It also supports a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 640 x480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Canon PowerShot A710 IS has been set at 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 7.1 mega pixels. The sensor on the PowerShot A710 IS is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter. Canon added a digital zoom on its PowerShot A710 IS with an internal flash being very common in new cameras .
The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 55 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the PowerShot A710 IS was set at 15 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds.
