Canon PowerShot G7 review
Canon presents its new model, the Canon PowerShot G7 which is a very exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 14/9/06. The Canon PowerShot G7 will be sold at a retail price of 700in the US, a great price for such a camera. The PowerShot G7 can be set to a maximum resolution of 3648 x 2736. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2816 x 2112, 2272 x 1704, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Canon PowerShot G7 is 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 10.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the PowerShot G7 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " using a RGB color filter.
Canon implemented a digital zoom on the PowerShot G7 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the PowerShot G7 is 15 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2500 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Canon PowerShot G7 includes an internal memory of 32 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC card.
The LCD implemented in the PowerShot G7 measures 2.5 ". There is also a video out output available letting you see your pictures on television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
