Canon PowerShot S230 review
Canon presents its new conception, the Canon PowerShot S230 which is a very special camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was announced on the North American market on the 16/9/02. The Canon PowerShot S230 has been launched at a price of 399in the United States, no bad for all this technology. This model measures 87 x 57 x 27 mm and is weighting only 250 g. The PowerShot S230 delivers a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It also supports a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Canon PowerShot S230 has been set at 4:3, making a camera of 3.1 mega pixels.
The sensor of the PowerShot S230 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter. Canon included a digital zoom on the PowerShot S230 and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 47 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the PowerShot S230 was set at 15 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1500 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model being a very useful function.
The Canon PowerShot S230 has an internal memory of 16 mb extendable with external storage with Compact Flash (Type I). The LCD screen available on the PowerShot S230 diagonally measures 1.5 ".
