Canon unveils its new model, the Canon PowerShot S410 which is a great camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 09/2/04. The Canon PowerShot S410 was initially targeted at a retail price of 207in the US, no bad for all this technology. The PowerShot S410 has for maximum resolution 2272 x 1704. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Canon PowerShot S410 is 4:3, making a total of 3.9 mega pixels. The sensor on the PowerShot S410 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/1.8 " having a RGB color filter.
Canon implemented a digital zoom on the PowerShot S410 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the PowerShot S410 was set at 15 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Canon PowerShot S410 has an internal memory of 32 mb extendable with external storage with Compact Flash (Type I). The LCD screen of the PowerShot S410 diagonally measures 1.5 ".
