Canon arrives this year with its new conception, the Canon PowerShot SD1000 which is a very special camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was presented in North America on the 22/2/07. The Canon PowerShot SD1000 has been launched at a price of 280in the United States, a very interesting deal. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The lens's sensor of the PowerShot SD1000 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter. Canon implemented a digital zoom on the PowerShot SD1000 and included an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras .
The minimum shutter speed on the PowerShot SD1000 was set at 15 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1500 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version being a very useful function. The Canon PowerShot SD1000 includes an internal memory of 32 mb and can be extended with SD/SDHC card. The LCD implemented in the PowerShot SD1000 measures 2.5". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
