Canon PowerShot SD40 review
Canon presents its new camera, the Canon PowerShot SD40 which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented in the US on the 14/9/06. The PowerShot SD40 offers a maximum resolution of 3072 x 2304. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Canon PowerShot SD40 is set at 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 7.1 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the PowerShot SD40 is a CCD which measures only 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter. Canon included a digital zoom on the PowerShot SD40 with an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras .
The min. shutter speed of the PowerShot SD40 was set at 15 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1600 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version being a very useful function. The Canon PowerShot SD40 includes an internal memory of 16 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC card. The LCD screen available on the PowerShot SD40 diagonally measures 1.8 ". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
