Canon arrives this year with its new model, the Canon PowerShot SD630 which is an exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was unveiled in North America on the 21/2/06. The Canon PowerShot SD630 will be sold at a retail price of 366in the US, a very interesting deal. The PowerShot SD630 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2272 x 1704, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Canon PowerShot SD630 is 4:3, making a total of 6.0 mega pixels. The sensor on the PowerShot SD630 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Canon added a digital zoom on its PowerShot SD630 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 30 cm. The min. shutter speed of the PowerShot SD630 was set at 15 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1500 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this model being a very useful function. The Canon PowerShot SD630 camera has an internal storage of 16 mb extendable with external storage with SD/MMC card.
The LCD screen of the PowerShot SD630 is measuring 3.0 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
