The Canon PowerShot SD700 IS was initially targeted at a retail price of 481in the United States, a great price for such a camera. The PowerShot SD700 IS gets a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. It also supports a lower resolution of 2272 x 1704, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Canon PowerShot SD700 IS is 4:3, for a total of 6.0 mega pixels. The sensor on the PowerShot SD700 IS is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter.
Canon implemented a digital zoom on the PowerShot SD700 IS and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 45 cm. The min. shutter speed of the PowerShot SD700 IS is 15 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1600 seconds.
