Canon impresses with its new model, the Canon PowerShot SD900 which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was unveiled on the North American market on the 14/9/06. The PowerShot SD900 has for maximum resolution 3648 x 2736. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2816 x 2112, 2272 x 1704, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Canon PowerShot SD900 is 4:3, 3:2, making a camera of 10.0 mega pixels. The sensor on the PowerShot SD900 is a CCD which measures 1/1.8 " having a RGB color filter. Canon included a digital zoom on the PowerShot SD900 with an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras .
The minimum shutter speed on the PowerShot SD900 was set at 15 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version being a very useful function. The Canon PowerShot SD900 includes an internal memory of 32 mb extendable by using SD/MMC card. The LCD screen available on the PowerShot SD900 measures 2.5 ". There is also a video out output available letting you see your pictures on television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
