Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 review
Casio is back with its new camera, the Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 which is a very special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was unveiled in North America on the 26/4/06. The Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 will be sold at a retail price of 379in the United States, considered affordable for such a camera. The Exilim EX-Z1000 has for maximum resolution 3648 x 2736. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 is 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, making a total of 10.0 mega pixels. The sensor of the Exilim EX-Z1000 is a CCD of dimensions 1/1.8 " with a RGB color filter.
Casio implemented a digital zoom on the Exilim EX-Z1000 with an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 40 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Exilim EX-Z1000 was set at 4 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 has an internal memory of 8 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC card + Internal.
The LCD implemented in the Exilim EX-Z1000 measures 2.8 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported.
