Fujifilm FinePix 4800 Zoom review
Fujifilm strikes back with its new model, the Fujifilm FinePix 4800 Zoom which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was unveiled on the North American market on the 01/2/01. The Fujifilm FinePix 4800 Zoom was initially targeted at a retail price of 700in the US, a very interesting deal. This nice little piece of technology measures 80 x 97.5 x 36.3 mm and has for weight 280 g. The FinePix 4800 Zoom gets a maximum resolution of 2400 x 1800. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Fujifilm FinePix 4800 Zoom has been set at 4:3, making a camera of 2.4 mega pixels.
The sensor of the FinePix 4800 Zoom is a CCD which measures 1/1.7 " using a RGB color filter. Fujifilm included a digital zoom on the FinePix 4800 Zoom and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 60 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the FinePix 4800 Zoom was set at 3 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version which is always a useful function.
The Fujifilm FinePix 4800 Zoom has an internal memory of 16 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SmartMedia. The LCD screen of the FinePix 4800 Zoom diagonally measures 2.0 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
