HP Photosmart R817 review
HP arrives this year with its new conception, the HP Photosmart R817 which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was shown in the US on the 01/6/05. The HP Photosmart R817 has been launched at a price of 264in the United States, considered affordable for such a camera. The Photosmart R817 gets a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1935. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the HP Photosmart R817 is set at 4:3, for a total of 5.1 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the Photosmart R817 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter.
HP included a digital zoom on the Photosmart R817 and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 20 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Photosmart R817 is 15 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version which is always a useful function. The HP Photosmart R817 has an internal memory of 32 mb extendable by using SD card + Internal.
The LCD screen of the Photosmart R817 measures 2.0 ". There is also a video out output available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
