Konica Minolta DiMAGE Xg review
Konica Minolta strikes back with its new camera, the Konica Minolta DiMAGE Xg which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented on the North American market on the 12/2/04. The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Xg will be sold for 16in the US, a great price for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 86 x 67 x 20 mm while weights 155 g. The DiMAGE Xg gets a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It also supports a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Konica Minolta DiMAGE Xg is 4:3, making a total of 3.1 mega pixels.
The sensor on the DiMAGE Xg is a CCD which measures only 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter. Konica Minolta implemented a digital zoom on the DiMAGE Xg and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 15 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the DiMAGE Xg is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. Movies are supported in this model which is always a useful function.
The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Xg includes an internal memory of 16 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC card. The LCD screen available on the DiMAGE Xg is measuring 1.6 ". A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
