Nikon Coolpix 2100 review
Nikon impresses with its new model, the Nikon Coolpix 2100 which is an exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in the US on the 18/2/03. This nice camera measures 88 x 65 x 38 mm while it weights only 215 g. The Coolpix 2100 can be set to a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Nikon Coolpix 2100 is set at 4:3, making a total of 1.9 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the Coolpix 2100 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/3.2 " having a RGB color filter.
Nikon included a digital zoom on the Coolpix 2100 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Coolpix 2100 was set at 4 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/3000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this model being a very useful function. The Nikon Coolpix 2100 includes an internal memory of 8 mb and can be extended with Compact Flash (Type I only).
The LCD screen available on the Coolpix 2100 diagonally measures 1.5 ". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported.
