Nikon Coolpix 3500 review
Nikon is back with its new camera, the Nikon Coolpix 3500 which is a very special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented on the North American market on the 19/9/02. This nice little piece of technology measures 114 x 60 x 32 mm while it weights only 250 g. The Coolpix 3500 has for maximum resolution 2048 x 1536. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Nikon Coolpix 3500 is 4:3, for a total of 3.1 mega pixels. The sensor of the Coolpix 3500 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.7 " with a RGB color filter.
Nikon included a digital zoom on the Coolpix 3500 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 30 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Coolpix 3500 is 2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/3000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Nikon Coolpix 3500 has an internal memory of 8 mb and can be extended with external storage by using Compact Flash (Type I only).
