The Nikon Coolpix 5900 was initially targeted at a retail price of 202in the United States, a great deal. The Coolpix 5900 gets a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Nikon Coolpix 5900 is 4:3, making a camera of 5.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the Coolpix 5900 is a CCD of dimensions 1/1.8 " using a RGB color filter.
Nikon added a digital zoom on its Coolpix 5900 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Coolpix 5900 is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Nikon Coolpix 5900 has an internal memory of 13.5 mb extendable by using SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen of the Coolpix 5900 measures 2.0 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television.
