Nikon strikes back with its new camera, the Nikon Coolpix P1 which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was shown in the US on the 01/9/05. The Nikon Coolpix P1 has been launched at a price of 466in the US, a great deal. This model measures 91 x 60 x 39 mm and has for weight 185 g. The Coolpix P1 delivers a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448. It also supports a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Nikon Coolpix P1 has been set at 4:3, making a camera of 8.0 mega pixels.
The internal sensor on the Coolpix P1 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/1.8 " with a RGB color filter.
