Nikon Coolpix P5000 review
Nikon is back with its new conception, the Nikon Coolpix P5000 which is a great camera and setting new standards in the market! It was unveiled in North America on the 20/2/07. The Nikon Coolpix P5000 is sold at a price of 394in the United States, a great price for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 98 x 65 x 41 mm and weights 240 g. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The sensor on the Coolpix P5000 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/1.8 " using a RGB color filter. Nikon implemented a digital zoom on the Coolpix P5000 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Coolpix P5000 was set at 8 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Nikon Coolpix P5000 camera has an internal storage of 26 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/SDHC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Coolpix P5000 measures 2.5 ".
A video output is available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. Connection to a computer is available through USB. To summarize, we truly think the Nikon Coolpix P5000 is a very interesting camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to consider this great camera.
