Nikon Coolpix P5100 review
Nikon arrives this year with its new model, the Nikon Coolpix P5100 which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented on the North American market on the 30/8/07. The Nikon Coolpix P5100 was initially targeted at a retail price of 399in North America, a great deal. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 3264 x 2448, 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The sensor on the Coolpix P5100 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.72 " and uses a RGB color filter. Nikon added a digital zoom on its Coolpix P5100 and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras .
The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Coolpix P5100 is 8 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version being a very useful function. The Nikon Coolpix P5100 includes an internal memory of 52 mb and can be extended with SD/SDHC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Coolpix P5100 is measuring 2.5 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV .
Connection to a computer is available through USB. To conclude, we truly think the Nikon Coolpix P5100 is a very interesting camera and we would encourage you to consider this great camera.
