Nikon Coolpix S4 review
Nikon presents its new model, the Nikon Coolpix S4 which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown in the US on the 01/9/05. The Nikon Coolpix S4 will be sold for 329in North America, considered affordable for such a camera. This nice camera measures 112 x 69 x 37 mm and has for weight 225 g. The Coolpix S4 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Nikon Coolpix S4 has been set at 4:3, making a camera of 6.0 mega pixels.
The lens's sensor of the Coolpix S4 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.5 " using a RGB color filter. Nikon included a digital zoom on the Coolpix S4 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Coolpix S4 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1000 seconds. Movies are supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Nikon Coolpix S4 has an internal memory of 13.5 mb extendable with external storage with SD/MMC card + Internal.
The LCD implemented in the Coolpix S4 is measuring 2.5 ". There is also a video out output available making it handy to watch pictures on your television.
