Nikon Coolpix S550 review
Nikon unveils its new model, the Nikon Coolpix S550 which is a very exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was unveiled on the North American market on the 29/1/08. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480, 1920 x 1080. The internal sensor on the Coolpix S550 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.3 " and uses a RGB color filter. Nikon included a digital zoom on the Coolpix S550 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 35 cm.
The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Coolpix S550 was set at 4 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1500 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Nikon Coolpix S550 includes an internal memory of 50 mb extendable by using SD/MMC/SDHC card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the Coolpix S550 is measuring 2.5 ". There is also a video out output available letting you see your pictures on television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
