Olympus D-380 review
Olympus strikes back with its new conception, the Olympus D-380 which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was shown on the North American market on the 13/3/02. The Olympus D-380 has been launched at a price of 199in North America, considered affordable for such a camera. This nice camera measures 123 x 65 x 45 mm and weights 250 g. The D-380 can be set to a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. It also supports a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Olympus D-380 has been set at 4:3, for a total of 1.9 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the D-380 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/3.2 " having a RGB color filter.
Olympus implemented a digital zoom on the D-380 and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 60 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the D-380 is 1 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this model being a very useful function. The Olympus D-380 camera has an internal storage of 8 mb and can be extended with SmartMedia.
