Olympus C-4040 Zoom review
Olympus unveils its new model, the Olympus C-4040 Zoom which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced on the North American market on the 20/6/01. The Olympus C-4040 Zoom will be sold for 1000in North America, considered affordable for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 110 x 70 x 76 mm and has for weight 420 g. The C-4040 Zoom offers a maximum resolution of 2272 x 1704. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Olympus C-4040 Zoom is 4:3, making a camera of 3.9 mega pixels.
The sensor of the C-4040 Zoom is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " and uses a RGB color filter. Olympus added a digital zoom on its C-4040 Zoom and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 80 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the C-4040 Zoom is 16 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/800 seconds. Movies are supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Olympus C-4040 Zoom camera has an internal storage of 16 mb extendable with SmartMedia.
The LCD screen of the C-4040 Zoom diagonally measures 1.8 ". A video out plug exists allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported. To finish, we really believe that the Olympus C-4040 Zoom is a very interesting camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to buy this wonderful camera.
