Olympus C-5000 Zoom review
Olympus launches its new camera, the Olympus C-5000 Zoom which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was presented in North America on the 29/8/03. The Olympus C-5000 Zoom will be sold at a retail price of 450in the United States, considered affordable for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 105 x 74 x 46 mm while weights 280 g. The C-5000 Zoom has for maximum resolution 2560 x 1920. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2272 x 1704, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Olympus C-5000 Zoom has been set at 4:3, making a total of 4.9 mega pixels.
The sensor on the C-5000 Zoom is a CCD which measures 1/1.8 " and uses a RGB color filter. Olympus added a digital zoom on its C-5000 Zoom and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the C-5000 Zoom is 16 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model being a very useful function.
The Olympus C-5000 Zoom has an internal memory of 32 mb and can be extended with external storage by using xD Picture Card. The LCD screen available on the C-5000 Zoom is measuring 1.8 ". There is also a video out output available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported.
