Olympus arrives this year with its new model, the Olympus C-740 UZ which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was presented on the North American market on the 02/3/03. The Olympus C-740 UZ is sold at a price of 500in the US, considered affordable for such a camera. This model measures 108 x 66 x 69 mm and weights 340 g. The C-740 UZ can be set to a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It also supports a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Olympus C-740 UZ is 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 3.1 mega pixels.
The sensor of the C-740 UZ is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter. Olympus implemented a digital zoom on the C-740 UZ and included an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 60 cm.
