Olympus D-435 review
Olympus arrives this year with its new conception, the Olympus D-435 which is an exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was shown in the US on the 20/5/05. The Olympus D-435 was initially targeted at a retail price of 139in the United States, a very interesting deal. This nice camera measures 101 x 52 x 35 mm while weights 140 g. The D-435 has for maximum resolution 2592 x 1944. It also supports a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Olympus D-435 is 4:3, for a total of 5.1 mega pixels. The sensor of the D-435 is a CCD which measures only 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter.
Olympus implemented a digital zoom on the D-435 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the D-435 is 2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1500 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version being a very useful function. The LCD screen available on the D-435 is measuring 1.5 ". A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer. To summarize, we truly think the Olympus D-435 is a great camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to consider this great camera.
