Olympus D-520 Zoom review
Olympus strikes back with its new camera, the Olympus D-520 Zoom which is a special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was shown in North America on the 13/3/02. The Olympus D-520 Zoom has been launched at a price of 299in the US, a great deal. This nice little piece of technology measures 112 x 62 x 35 mm and is weighting only 220 g. The D-520 Zoom can be set to a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. It also supports a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Olympus D-520 Zoom is 4:3, making a camera of 1.9 mega pixels. The sensor of the D-520 Zoom is a CCD of dimensions 1/3.2 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Olympus added a digital zoom on its D-520 Zoom with an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the D-520 Zoom is 2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version being a very useful function. The Olympus D-520 Zoom includes an internal memory of 8 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SmartMedia. The LCD screen of the D-520 Zoom measures 1.5 ".
