Olympus FE-100 review
Olympus arrives this year with its new conception, the Olympus FE-100 which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was unveiled in North America on the 29/8/05. The Olympus FE-100 was initially targeted at a retail price of 112in the US, a very fair price. The FE-100 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2272 x 1704. It also supports a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Olympus FE-100 is 4:3, making a camera of 4.0 mega pixels. The sensor on the FE-100 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Olympus included a digital zoom on the FE-100 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the FE-100 is 2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this version being a very useful function. The Olympus FE-100 has an internal memory of 28 mb and can be extended with external storage by using xD Picture Card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the FE-100 diagonally measures 1.5 ".
A video output is available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported. To conclude, we truly think the Olympus FE-100 makes a very attractive camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to consider this great camera.
