Olympus FE-230 review
Olympus arrives this year with its new camera, the Olympus FE-230 which is a great camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 25/1/07. The Olympus FE-230 is sold at a price of 194in the US, a very fair price. This nice camera measures 91 x 55 x 17 mm and has for weight 145 g. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 640 x 480. The internal sensor on the FE-230 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter. Olympus included a digital zoom on the FE-230 and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras .
The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 60 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the FE-230 is 1/2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Olympus FE-230 includes an internal memory of 20 mb extendable with external storage with xD Picture Card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the FE-230 diagonally measures 2.5 ". There is also a video out output available making it handy to watch pictures on your television.
