Olympus Stylus 400 Digital review
Olympus presents its new camera, the Olympus Stylus 400 Digital which is an exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in the US on the 09/1/03. The Olympus Stylus 400 Digital has been launched at a price of 500in North America, considered affordable for such a camera. This model measures 99 x 56 x 34 mm and is weighting only 220 g. The Stylus 400 Digital offers a maximum resolution of 2272 x 1704. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Olympus Stylus 400 Digital is 4:3, making a total of 3.9 mega pixels.
The internal sensor on the Stylus 400 Digital is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter. Olympus implemented a digital zoom on the Stylus 400 Digital and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Stylus 400 Digital was set at 1/2 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this model being a very useful function.
The Olympus Stylus 400 Digital has an internal storage space of 16 mb and can be extended with xD Picture Card. The LCD screen available on the Stylus 400 Digital is measuring 1.5 ". A video out plug exists allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. USB connectivity to a computer is supported.
