Olympus SP-550 UZ review
Olympus presents its new camera, the Olympus SP-550 UZ which is a great camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was announced in North America on the 25/1/07. The Olympus SP-550 UZ was initially targeted at a retail price of 489in the US, a great deal. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The sensor on the SP-550 UZ is a CCD which measures only 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter. Olympus added a digital zoom on its SP-550 UZ and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 10 cm.
The minimum shutter speed on the SP-550 UZ is 15 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Olympus SP-550 UZ has an internal storage space of 20 mb extendable with external storage with xD Picture Card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the SP-550 UZ measures 2.5 ". There is also a video out output available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
