Olympus Stylus 740 review
Olympus unveils its new model, the Olympus Stylus 740 which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was unveiled in North America on the 24/8/06. This nice little piece of technology measures 96 x 54 x 24 mm and is weighting only 160 g. The Stylus 740 gets a maximum resolution of 3072 x 2304. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Olympus Stylus 740 is 4:3, making a camera of 7.1 mega pixels. The sensor of the Stylus 740 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.3 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Olympus included a digital zoom on the Stylus 740 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 70 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Stylus 740 was set at 4 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Olympus Stylus 740 has an internal memory of 17 mb extendable with xD Picture Card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the Stylus 740 diagonally measures 2.5 ".
