Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC40 review
Panasonic launches its new model, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC40 which is a special camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was announced in the US on the 11/1/02. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC40 will be sold at a retail price of 700in North America, a very fair price. This nice little piece of technology measures 104 x 76 x 66 mm and has for weight 420 g. The Lumix DMC-LC40 delivers a maximum resolution of 2240 x 1680. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1120 x 840, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC40 is 4:3, for a total of 3.9 mega pixels.
The sensor on the Lumix DMC-LC40 is a CCD which measures 1/1.8 " having a RGB color filter. Panasonic added a digital zoom on its Lumix DMC-LC40 with an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Lumix DMC-LC40 was set at 8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC40 includes an internal memory of 16 mb extendable with SD/MMC card.
The LCD screen available on the Lumix DMC-LC40 diagonally measures 1.8 ". There is also a video out output available making it handy to watch pictures on your television.
