Pentax EI-100 review
Pentax impresses with its new camera, the Pentax EI-100 which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was unveiled in the US on the 30/5/01. The Pentax EI-100 will be sold at a retail price of 169in North America, considered affordable for such a camera. The EI-100 offers a maximum resolution of 1280 x 960. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Pentax EI-100 is 4:3, for a total of 1.2 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the EI-100 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/3.2 " using a RGB color filter. Pentax added a digital zoom on its EI-100 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera .
The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 60 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the EI-100 is 1/10 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/800 seconds. The Pentax EI-100 has an internal memory of 8 mb extendable with external storage with Compact Flash Type I + Internal. The LCD implemented in the EI-100 measures 1.8 ".
