Pentax strikes back with its new conception, the Pentax *ist DL which is a great camera and setting new standards in the market! It was shown on the North American market on the 01/6/05. The Pentax *ist DL was initially targeted at a retail price of 563in the US, a very fair price. The *ist DL can be set to a maximum resolution of 3008 x 2008. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2400 x 1600, 1536 x 1024. The image ratio on the Pentax *ist DL is set at 3:2, making a camera of 6.1 mega pixels. The sensor of the *ist DL is a CCD having for dimensions 23.5 x 15.7 mm with a RGB color filter.
The minimum shutter speed on the *ist DL is 30 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/4000 seconds. The LCD screen available on the *ist DL measures 2.5 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
