Pentax impresses with its new model, the Pentax Optio 330GS which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was presented on the North American market on the 17/9/02. The Pentax Optio 330GS has been launched at a price of 325in North America, considered affordable for such a camera. The Optio 330GS offers a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Pentax Optio 330GS is 4:3, making a camera of 3.2 mega pixels. The lens's sensor of the Optio 330GS is a CCD measuring only 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Pentax added a digital zoom on its Optio 330GS and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 4m. The minimum shutter speed on the Optio 330GS was set at 4 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1500 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Pentax Optio 330GS has an internal memory of 16 mb extendable with external storage with Compact Flash Type I.
The LCD implemented in the Optio 330GS is measuring 1.6 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
