Pentax Optio M50 review
Pentax strikes back with its new camera, the Pentax Optio M50 which is an exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown in North America on the 23/1/08. It also supports a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The sensor of the Optio M50 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.35 " and uses a RGB color filter. Pentax included a digital zoom on the Optio M50 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 40 cm.
The minimum shutter speed on the Optio M50 is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version being a very useful function. The Pentax Optio M50 camera has an internal storage of 51.1 mb extendable by using SD/MMC/SDHC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Optio M50 is measuring 2.5 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer. To conclude, we think the Pentax Optio M50 makes a very attractive camera and we recommend our readers to consider this great camera.
