Pentax Optio MX4 review
Pentax is back with its new camera, the Pentax Optio MX4 which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was shown on the North American market on the 13/9/04. The Optio MX4 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2304 x 1728. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Pentax Optio MX4 is set at 4:3, making a total of 4.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the Optio MX4 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.7 " having a RGB color filter. Pentax included a digital zoom on the Optio MX4 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 40 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Optio MX4 is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model being a very useful function. The Pentax Optio MX4 has an internal storage space of 16 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC card. The LCD implemented in the Optio MX4 is measuring 1.8 ". A video out plug exists letting you see your pictures on television.
