Pentax Optio S40 review
Pentax presents its new model, the Pentax Optio S40 which is a great camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was presented on the North American market on the 02/2/04. The Pentax Optio S40 is sold at a price of 109in North America, a very interesting deal. The Optio S40 gets a maximum resolution of 2304 x 1728. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Pentax Optio S40 is set at 4:3, for a total of 4.0 mega pixels. The sensor of the Optio S40 is a CCD which measures only 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter.
Pentax included a digital zoom on the Optio S40 and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 40 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Optio S40 is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Pentax Optio S40 includes an internal memory of 11 mb extendable with external storage with SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Optio S40 diagonally measures 1.6 ".
