Pentax Optio S55 review
Pentax unveils its new conception, the Pentax Optio S55 which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was announced on the North American market on the 11/5/05. The Pentax Optio S55 has been launched at a price of 231in the United States, a great price for such a camera. The Optio S55 delivers a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1920. It also supports a lower resolution of 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Pentax Optio S55 has been set at 4:3, making a total of 5.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the Optio S55 is a CCD which measures only 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter.
Pentax included a digital zoom on the Optio S55 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 40 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Optio S55 is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Pentax Optio S55 has an internal memory of 11 mb extendable with external storage with SD/MMC card + Internal.
The LCD screen available on the Optio S55 is measuring 2.5 ". A video output is available making it handy to watch pictures on your television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
