Pentax Optio S6 review
Pentax launches its new model, the Pentax Optio S6 which is an exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown in the US on the 31/8/05. The Pentax Optio S6 is sold at a price of 269in the United States, considered affordable for such a camera. The Optio S6 delivers a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (width / height) on the Pentax Optio S6 is set at 4:3, making a total of 6.0 mega pixels. The sensor on the Optio S6 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter.
Pentax added a digital zoom on its Optio S6 and included an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range is 40 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Optio S6 is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Pentax Optio S6 has an internal storage space of 23 mb extendable by using SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen of the Optio S6 measures 2.5 ".
