Ricoh Caplio 500G review
Ricoh unveils its new conception, the Ricoh Caplio 500G which is a great camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was shown in North America on the 08/5/06. This nice camera measures 133 x 79 x 74 mm and is weighting only 450 g. The Caplio 500G can be set to a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448. It also supports a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Ricoh Caplio 500G is set at 4:3, making a camera of 8.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the Caplio 500G is a CCD of dimensions 1/1.8 " with a RGB color filter.
Ricoh implemented a digital zoom on the Caplio 500G with an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Caplio 500G was set at 8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Ricoh Caplio 500G includes an internal memory of 26 mb extendable by using SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen of the Caplio 500G diagonally measures 2.5 ".
