Ricoh Caplio R1V review
Ricoh unveils its new camera, the Ricoh Caplio R1V which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented in the US on the 04/1/05. This nice camera measures 100 x 55 x 25 mm while it weights only 195 g. The Caplio R1V gets a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1920. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1563, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the Ricoh Caplio R1V has been set at 4:3, making a camera of 4.9 mega pixels. The sensor on the Caplio R1V is a CCD having for dimensions 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter.
Ricoh included a digital zoom on the Caplio R1V with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Caplio R1V is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Ricoh Caplio R1V includes an internal memory of 12 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Caplio R1V is measuring 1.8 ".
