Ricoh Caplio R3 review
Ricoh presents its new conception, the Ricoh Caplio R3 which is an exciting camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was unveiled in the US on the 07/9/05. This nice camera measures 95 x 53 x 26 mm while it weights only 165 g. The Caplio R3 delivers a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1920. It also supports a lower resolution of 2048 x 1563, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Ricoh Caplio R3 is 4:3, 3:2, making a total of 4.9 mega pixels. The sensor of the Caplio R3 is a CCD which measures only 1/2.5 " using a RGB color filter. Ricoh added a digital zoom on its Caplio R3 and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 30 cm. Movies are supported in this version being a very useful function. The Ricoh Caplio R3 has an internal storage space of 26 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the Caplio R3 is measuring 2.5 ". A video output is available making it handy to watch pictures on your television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
