Ricoh Caplio R4 review
Ricoh impresses with its new conception, the Ricoh Caplio R4 which is a very exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was unveiled on the North American market on the 23/2/06. This nice little piece of technology measures 95 x 53 x 26 mm while it weights only 165 g. The Caplio R4 can be set to a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1563, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Ricoh Caplio R4 is 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 6.0 mega pixels. The sensor of the Caplio R4 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter.
Ricoh added a digital zoom on its Caplio R4 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 30 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Caplio R4 is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Ricoh Caplio R4 includes an internal memory of 26 mb extendable by using SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the Caplio R4 diagonally measures 2.5 ".
