Ricoh Caplio GX8 review
Ricoh unveils its new camera, the Ricoh Caplio GX8 which is a very special camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was announced in the US on the 26/4/05. This nice camera measures 114 x 29 x 58 mm while weights 261 g. The Caplio GX8 can be set to a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2592 x 1944, 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio on the Ricoh Caplio GX8 is 4:3, 3:2, for a total of 8.0 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the Caplio GX8 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " using a RGB color filter. Ricoh included a digital zoom on the Caplio GX8 and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays .
The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 30 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Caplio GX8 was set at 30 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported on this camera which is always a useful function. The Ricoh Caplio GX8 has an internal storage space of 26 mb extendable by using SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen of the Caplio GX8 is measuring 1.8 ".
