Ricoh RDC-7 review
Ricoh impresses with its new camera, the Ricoh RDC-7 which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in the US on the 25/2/00. The Ricoh RDC-7 will be sold at a retail price of 600in the United States, a very interesting deal. This nice little piece of technology measures 135 x 27 x 74 mm while it weights only 320 g. The RDC-7 gets a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Ricoh RDC-7 is set at 4:3, for a total of 3.1 mega pixels. The sensor on the RDC-7 is a CCD having for dimensions 1/1.8 " having a RGB color filter.
Ricoh added a digital zoom on its RDC-7 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 24 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the RDC-7 is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model being a very useful function. The Ricoh RDC-7 has an internal storage space of 8 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SmartMedia + Internal.
The LCD implemented in the RDC-7 is measuring 2.0 ". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
