Ricoh RDC-i500 review
Ricoh strikes back with its new camera, the Ricoh RDC-i500 which is a special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced on the North American market on the 23/3/01. The Ricoh RDC-i500 will be sold at a retail price of 900in North America, a great deal. This nice camera measures 142 x 31 x 78 mm and is weighting only 320 g. The RDC-i500 offers a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Ricoh RDC-i500 has been set at 4:3, for a total of 3.1 mega pixels. The sensor on the RDC-i500 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " with a RGB color filter.
Ricoh implemented a digital zoom on the RDC-i500 and also added an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 24 cm. The min. shutter speed of the RDC-i500 is 8 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Ricoh RDC-i500 includes an internal memory of 8 mb and can be extended with Compact Flash Type II + Internal.
The LCD screen of the RDC-i500 measures 2.0 ". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer. Briefly, we think the Ricoh RDC-i500 makes a great camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to buy this great camera.
